Spa FAQs

We recommend you make your appointment in advance to allow you to choose the times that best suit your schedule. Appointments are held with a credit card. To make an appointment, please contact (305) 908-5460 or extension 5460 from your guest room.

What measures has The Palms AVEDA Spa implemented in response to COVID-19?

Our spa has always upheld strict hygiene protocols and the well-being of our guests has always been our priority. As we look forward to welcoming you to our spa, we would like to reassure you that the following additional protocols have been introduced, so you can feel safe and protected while you spa with us.

  • Staggered Scheduling: Appointments will be booked to ensure you are the only one arriving and departing at any given time
  • Contactless Check-In & Check-Out: Our check in and check out process is now digital, allowing an entirely contactless, stress-free experience.
  • Deep Sanitation: In addition to our normal sanitation standards, treatment rooms and the spa will be further disinfected and sanitized between guests. Air and surface sanitization by use of hydroxyl air purifiers have been installed in all treatment areas.
  • Healthy Team Members: Team members temperature check before every shift and will not report to work if they exhibit any symptoms.
  • Limited Amenities: Spa Guests will be asked to change in the Treatment Rooms. Steam Room, Showers and Locker rooms are mandated to be closed at this time. Access to the pool and beach remains available.
  • Hand washing Guidelines: Spa guests will be welcomed with a warm towel ritual and sanitizer and will be asked to wash their hands at the starting of each treatment. Team Members will be required to wash their hands in front of their guest before and after every treatment.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Spa guests must wear a face covering when entering the hotel & spa, during nail, salon, and massage treatments. Face masks are not required during facial treatments. All Team Members will wear the necessary protective gear as required and outlined by the service protocol they are performing, which includes face masks, gloves, disposable aprons and face shields.

What Facilities Does Your Spa Offer?

Visit our Facilities page to learn more about what amenities are currently available. All guests experiencing services of 50 minutes or more (excluding hair and nails) have access to our pool and beach and may enjoy the use of our fitness room. The spa front desk will issue pool towel cards to spa guests. Towel cards must be returned to the spa front desk or a fee of $39 will be charged.

May I Order Food And Drinks In The Relaxation Area?

 At this time, food and beverage menu items are not available.

How early should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to your appointment to allow time for you to check-in and change prior to your spa experience. This will also allow us to ensure you are the only one arriving and departing at a given time. If you arrive later than your appointment time, your session will still end as scheduled time as a courtesy to the next guest.

What if I'm late for my appointment?

Arriving late will simply limit the time of your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged.

What if I don't have a spa treatment, may I use the spa facilities?

Those hotel guests who do not have a spa treatment booked are welcome to enjoy the steam room, shower, and spa relaxation facilities for a $20 charge (subject to availability.)

What should I wear for my treatment?

Along with a swimsuit for co-ed areas, we recommend you wear comfortable casual clothes for pre- and post-treatment. During treatments, you may wear undergarments (disposable available), a swimsuit or disrobe completely. Your preference and modesty will be respected. We recommend wearing no jewelry during treatment. Lockers are available for your use. We are not responsible for any lost items.

How should I prepare for my treatment?

We recommend showering prior to using our relaxation facilities and before your treatment. Clean skin will better absorb the essential oils, scrubs and/or creams used in our massage treatments, facials, and body treatments. We also recommend using the steam room before your treatment. Warming up the muscles prior to your treatment increases circulation, encourages relaxation, and enhances treatment results.

Is gratuity included?

For your convenience, a 20% service charge will be added to all treatments. Additional gratuities are at your discretion.

What about payment for spa services?

A credit card number is required at the time reservations are made. All major credit cards are accepted. You may also charge spa services to your hotel bill or use a gift certificate.

Is there an age requirement?

Guests must be 16 years of age or older to enjoy spa services and spa facilities. Nail services are available to guests 12 years and older when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Are gift certificates available?

Give the gift of nature with a spa treatment or package from The Palms Spa, available for purchase at the spa front desk. The perfect way to say thank you to friends and loved ones.

What is your cancellation policy?

If your plans should change and you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know at least 6 hours prior to your scheduled appointment so we may reschedule at a more convenient time. Services not canceled within the cancellation period will be charged 100%. Group reservations require a one-week advanced cancellation. Packages require a 24-hour cancellation. Cancellations made after these time frames will be charged the full amount plus service charge.

Valet Parking

Guests of The Palms Spa receive discounted parking with their treatment. Please ask the spa front desk to validate your parking prior to departure.

May I order food and drinks in the relaxation area?

Yes, we offer a spa menu with light bites, refreshments, and alcoholic beverages.

Does The Palms AVEDA Spa allow for private groups or parties?

We offer the ideal setting for groups of 5 or more for a variety of occasions include: corporate outings, birthday parties, bachelorette parties, baby showers, couples’ parties, reunions and more. Enjoy a combination of spa services, quality time with your friends, family or colleagues, and optional food & drink. A credit card number to secure all appointments booked are required to schedule a group event.

What is the group cancellation policy?

Any service(s) not cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time and any no-shows will be charged the full service price to the credit card used to secure appointments.
